Import a custom VRM

Bring your own 3D character into Primeta. Export from VRoid Studio, Blender, or any VRM-compatible tool.

From VRoid Studio

VRoid Studio is a free tool for creating anime-style 3D characters. It exports VRM natively, so the process is straightforward.

  1. Open your character in VRoid Studio.
  2. Click Export as VRM in the top menu.
  3. Fill in the metadata (title, author) and configure any export options.
  4. Save the .vrm file to your computer.
  5. In Primeta, go to Persona Settings and upload the VRM file as your 3D model.

Other VRM-compatible tools

Any tool that exports standard VRM files will work with Primeta:

  • VRoid Studio — Free, anime-style character creator
  • UniVRM (Unity) — Export VRM from Unity projects
  • Blender + VRM Addon — Convert any 3D model to VRM
  • Cecil Henshin — VRM editor for adjusting existing models

What Primeta uses from your VRM

Mesh & materials

Your model's appearance renders as-is. MToon and PBR materials are both supported.

Humanoid skeleton

Animations (idle, talking, reactions) are applied via the standard VRM humanoid bone mapping.

Blend shapes / expressions

Lipsync uses mouth visemes (aa, ih, oh, ou, ee). Emotions use happy, sad, angry, surprised, relaxed.

Blink

If your model has a blink expression, Primeta will animate it automatically.
